Taybeh Oktoberfest – A Celebration of Beer & Culture

Taste Taybeh Beer, enjoy live music, and join a vibrant community celebration in Palestine’s own Oktoberfest.

Overview

Each autumn, the village of Taybeh near Ramallah hosts one of Palestine’s most popular cultural events: Taybeh Oktoberfest. Inspired by the famous German festival but infused with Palestinian character, this event brings together music, food, crafts, and, of course, the locally brewed Taybeh Beer. What began in 2005 as a way to promote the village’s microbrewery has grown into an international celebration of culture and community.

At the same time, Taybeh Oktoberfest is more than a beer festival. It highlights Palestinian entrepreneurship, creativity, and hospitality. With concerts, craft stalls, and family-friendly activities, the event welcomes both locals and visitors, offering a joyful space to experience Palestinian culture in a festive setting.

The Experience

Held over two days in early autumn, the festival fills the streets of Taybeh with energy and color. Visitors can sample a variety of Taybeh beers, including golden lager, dark, amber, and seasonal brews. Food stalls serve Palestinian dishes ranging from grilled meats to fresh salads and desserts, creating a lively mix of tastes.

Beyond food and drink, live music and dance performances run throughout the day, featuring both local talent and international acts. Stalls display handicrafts and embroidery, while local cooperatives offer products made by women’s groups. Families are welcome, and children’s activities ensure a festive atmosphere for all ages. The event also gives travelers the chance to explore Taybeh itself — a historic Christian village known for its ancient churches and warm community spirit.
