Sinjil is located 21 km north of Ramallah and connects the north with the south because of its location between the districts of Ramallah and Nablus. It is situated on a hill that is 860 meters high.

The name of the village is a tribute to the French Leader “Saint Gillest,” the prince of Toulouse (in France), who came to Palestine during the period of the Crusades.

Sinjil is famous for its green agricultural lands. In the village you can visit the ruins of a Crusader Church and the famous old Mosque.
