Aida Refugee Camp is located on the northern side of the city of Bethlehem, next to Rachel’s Tomb. It was established in 1950 by the United Nations for refugees who came from the Jerusalem and Hebron areas. The camp covers a small area of 0.71 square kilometers and it has not grown significantly with the refugee population. The camp lacks health centers and there is only one food distribution center.
