Description:

The garden and shrine of Sheikh Al Qatrawani Shrine is located on the top hill of Thahret Hamudeh, southwest of Attara and 3 km north of Birzeit.

This shrine is dedicated to Sheikh Ahmad Al Qatrawani, one of the eminent Muslim Sheikhs, and is venerated by the local citizens.

During the years 1997 to 1999 the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism conducted renovation works for the shrine. The excavation shows ruins of a church, a cave, and a well dating back to the Byzantine period. The current buildings are from the Mameluk and Ottoman periods, and include some Byzantine columns. Since 2009, the shrine and the garden are opened to the public and for visitors.
