One of the most beloved Palestinian spices, Zaatar is one of the first flavor experiences of travellers in Palestine. Served with pita bread and olive oil at breakfast, in lunchtime pastries or as a spice on the dinner plate, zaatar is one of Palestine’s most recognized herbs. This traditional blend contains dried zaatar leaves, roasted sesame seeds, sumac, salt and olive oil.

All Mawassem food products are produced using the highest standards, while maintaining the ancient traditions of Palestinian farming and food production. All of the products are all natural and produced by Palestinian women working in cooperatives in their local communities.
